One of the big events in the best acoustic/songwriter scene in the country is, Boston´s Acoustic Underground competition. Over 400 acts submit materials and are selected for three rounds of competition in local clubs. The final round is in a theater venue before a large crowd of rowdy acoustic fans.

The acts are judged by industry professionals from major labels, production, promotion, managment and the media. Many of the acts are signed and currently touring. The competition is sponsored by local radio and music store chains, as well as national companies like Fishman, Ovation, Zyljian and others.

I was fortunate enough to win, the year in which I entered.
That was a lot of fun....!
