Policy

  • during special events space should be made available on every block for Street Performance

4.13.1. Street Performers attract large crowds to the area which is a benefit to the businesses and culture of the area. It is unfair to totally exclude them during special events.

4.13.2. Space should be made available on every block for Performers to work.

4.13.3. All the Performers who regularly work are forced into unemployment for the period of time when a special event occurs. The loss of a week-end equals a quarter of many Performers income. This is a heavy burden for the Performers to bear and there should be some accommodation.
