Policy

  • extend performance hours in currently restricted areas

  • no further restrictions

  • during extended holiday weekends, Friday and Saturday hours (if different) should be extended to the evening(s) before the additional day(s) off

4.3.1. Currently there are areas in the City which have time of day restrictions on performance. This makes no sense when a Performer stops due to a curfew, while across the street a store or restaurant will be blaring live or recorded music, to all hours of the night, at volumes far exceeding that of the Performer. It also appears that a blanket restriction from 2 oÕclock to 5 oÕclock PM daily is too general, and therefore should be reconsidered.

4.3.2. Performers would like extended performance hours in restricted areas. We understand there may be special needs in the immediate vicinity of resident areas at late hours and near hospitals.

4.3.3. Performers feel there should be no enlargement of restricted areas unless there is documented evidence that performance causes inordinate complaint or hazard to that specific area.

4.3.4. During extended holiday weekends, Friday and Saturdays hours (if different) should be extended to the evening(s) before the additional day(s) off.
