When for many years Ned performed all over N.Y.C with weekends in Central Park, New York Magazine said, “Ned’s become one of the Park’s most popular attractions,” and he was featured on MTV News while performing in the Village.

 

In New Orleans he daily took the trolly to the French Quarter where he played on Bourbon St and Jackson Sqr. during the Worlds Fair and Mari Gras over several years, frequenting local halls, working with local performers, absorbing the traditions.

In Boston - as a fixture in Harvard Square and filling shows in local clubs - he won the live Acoustic Underground competition out of 400 national contestants, and was nominated for a Boston Music Award.

Invited by Jackson Browne while on the streets of Santa Monica to record several songs in his studio that ended up on the seventh album.

Ned has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years with a warm voice, comforting and compelling songs, wicked strong guitar work, and offbeat sense of humor.

He was inspired first by the works of Peter, Paul and Mary, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan, then falling in love with the material of Bonnie Raitt, Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Cat Stevens, Tower of Power and the Commodores. Later jumping off a cliff into Yes, Weather Report, Miles, Wes Montgomery, Keith Jarrett, Ralph Towner and Pat Metheny. Finally coming back around to straight up song writers and pickers Mississippi John Hurt, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Lou Reed, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Greg Brown, and so many more,..

These diverse musical traditions move his original songs and cover interpretations.

Ned has seven albums, has written over 300 songs, performed throughout the US and Europe and is currently recording his eighth collection.
